Birth Doula Support

Sliding Scale Available!

Mama, my intention as your birth doula is to make you feel seen and respected in your multitudes — to ensure that you feel safe enough during labor to be able to turn off your thinking brain, and let your heart and intuition take over. We will work together prenatally to prepare you mentally, physically, and emotionally for the birth you’ve been envisioning.

All services include: unlimited phone, text, and email support during pregnancy, thoughtful birth planning, basic childbirth education, perinatal nutrition guidance, finding and practicing your ideal birthing position(s), recommendations to prevent fatigue and labor complications, personalized comfort measures, breath work training, mantra selection, mental preparation, guaranteed presence and continuous support throughout your labor, birth photography (if desired), curating your ideal birth environment (i.e. warm lighting, aromatherapy, music, etc.), and access to my network of body workers, therapists, and licensed specialists.

What’s the process?

1. We schedule an intro call

The process begins with meeting over the phone for 15 minutes to see if we’d be a good fit. When looking for a doula, it’s all about the connection, and how your doula makes you feel. I will answer any questions you have.

2. I send over a contract

Potential clients will review the contract. If they decide they’d like to work with me, they will sign and return the contract. 20% of the selected service package fee is due upon signing of the contract. The final 80% will be due at 37 weeks, the first day I go “on-call” for you.

What will prenatal visits look like?

The beauty of this work is that it’s so subjective! The following are guidelines but are by no means strict protocols. Prenatal visits can be tailored to suit the needs and interests of each individual client. I do recommend that partners or other support folks join in on the prenatal visits, if possible.

First prenatal visit

In this visit, we will go over your vision for your birth, including your desires and non-negotiables. We will use this time to address any reservations, concerns, or limiting beliefs you may have about birth, and review the array of choices you have along your journey, from your provider and birth setting to your pain management preferences during labor. We will begin the conversation on prenatal nutrition and exercise.

Second prenatal visit

In our second visit, we will discuss what to expect during labor. We will review expectations for each stage of labor and discuss how you envision my support along the way. We will do a fun activity to find your ideal birthing positions and practice comfort measures and pain management techniques (either to be performed by your partner, me, or another support person). We will prepare your birth mantras, practice visualizations and guided meditations, and begin to curate your “birth playlist.”

Third prenatal visit

In our third visit, we will discuss all things postpartum. We’ll review expectations for what the first days and weeks with baby will look like (i.e. how many diapers you can expect to go through each day, what normal baby poop looks like, cluster feeding, etc.) and how you plan to divide up responsibilities with your partner and/or support team when baby arrives. We’ll discuss personalized techniques that you can use in early motherhood to stay grounded and safe in your nervous system. We’ll make sure your birth bag is packed and you’re feeling ready to go for labor!
